What Is Post a Brief on ARCZ? How It Works?

Post a Brief is ARCZ's free-forever requirement-routing feature for anyone with a legitimate built-environment project. Instead of contacting firms one by one, a requester submits one structured brief with a city, up to three professional categories, a project title, a project type and verified WhatsApp details. ARCZ manually checks the brief, then broadcasts it by WhatsApp to every matching ARCZ-verified firm in that city. The requester's identity and the receiving firms remain hidden from each other until a firm expresses interest; at that point, contact details and the firm's ARCZ profile are exchanged automatically.

What Post a Brief is

Post a Brief is the demand-routing layer of ARCZ. It turns a project requirement into a structured record that relevant firms can assess before direct contact begins. The feature is available to homeowners, builders, developers, businesses, professionals, tenants, property owners and anyone else with a legitimate project. Architecture and design firms can also use it when they need consultants, contractors or allied professionals.
The feature can be used for projects around the world. ARCZ currently has its largest verified-firm pool in India. A brief can still be submitted for a city where ARCZ has no verified firm; in that situation, ARCZ may try to identify and onboard suitable new firms, but this is an effort rather than a guaranteed response or timeline.
 

Where the workflow starts - and why login comes first

The only current public entry point is the Post a Brief button on the ARCZ homepage and Projects feed. There is no dedicated public brief URL. If a logged-out visitor clicks the button, ARCZ redirects the person to a minimal login or account-creation step using only a phone number and OTP. After login, the Post a Brief action continues into the feature workflow.
The opening panel contains a short, muted instructional animation that auto-plays every time the modal opens. It uses text and motion to demonstrate category selection, structured project details, ARCZ verification, firm interest, profile review and direct connection. It does not loop, include captions, expose pause or expand controls, or play sound. Closing the panel and opening Post a Brief again replays it.
The same opening panel introduces three approved operating ideas: Double-Blind Privacy, Verified Circle Broadcast and Zero Lead Fees. The phrase “best verified architects and designers” and the claim “largest elite talent pool” should not be used in the article because neither is presented as a substantiated ranking.
 

How Post a Brief works, step by step

 

1. Project Scope and Location

The first structured screen asks for one project city and up to three professional categories. Only one city can be attached to a single brief; a requester with requirements in different cities can submit separate briefs.
The current professional-category list is:

Location and category are the routing controls. They do not rank firms or certify suitability. They define which verified firms receive the requirement.
 

2. Design Vision

The second stage asks for a required Brief Title, an optional Project Description and optional supporting files. The title identifies the requirement. The description can explain goals, constraints, current conditions and must-have outcomes.
The current upload control accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, PDF and DWG files. A requester may upload up to 10 files, with a maximum size of 100 MB per file. Uploads are optional.
Useful attachments can include site photographs, plans, measured drawings, reference images, PDF briefs and DWG files. The purpose is to give firms enough context to decide whether the opportunity is relevant, not to replace a later scope document or contract.
 

3. Technical Details

The third stage captures Project Type, Project Area, Current Status and Urgency. Project Type is compulsory; project area, current status and urgency are optional.

The current Urgency options are:

  • Immediate

These fields help firms assess scale and readiness. They are visible to receiving firms, but Project Type, area, status and urgency do not change the routing rule: routing is based on city and professional category.
 

4. Contact & Verification

The final form stage asks for a required name and WhatsApp number, plus an optional email address. WhatsApp verification by OTP is compulsory before submission. When an email address is supplied, ARCZ also verifies it by OTP; email itself remains optional. The current form does not include a separate Terms, Privacy Policy or communication-consent checkbox.
The Submit Brief button sends the requirement for ARCZ review. The current interface does not display a separate confirmation message after submission.
 

5. Manual ARCZ review

ARCZ manually reviews every submitted brief before broadcast. The team checks contact authenticity, completeness, spam, project legitimacy, prohibited content and the accuracy of the selected location and category. Review is normally completed in under 24 hours.
“Verified Circle Broadcast” therefore refers to both sides of the system: firms are verified before appearing in Circle, and the brief is reviewed before it is sent to them.
 

How city and category routing work

After review, ARCZ sends the brief to every verified firm that matches the selected professional category and the selected city. If three categories are selected, all matching firms across those three categories receive it.
A firm can qualify for the selected city in either of two ways:

  • Base-city relevance: the firm's registered or base city is the selected project city.

  • Executed-work relevance: the firm has more than three recorded executed projects in the selected city.

ARCZ does not currently route briefs by project type, area, urgency, capacity, scale or any other hidden matching score. In this feature, “relevant verified firms” means verified firms that match the selected professional category and city rule.
Once review is complete, every matched firm is notified immediately through WhatsApp. The notification goes to the founder or partner who registered the firm on ARCZ and controls its main company page.
 

What firms see before interest

Before expressing interest, a receiving firm can see the project location, selected categories, brief title, project description, uploads, project type, area, status and urgency. It cannot see the requester’s name, WhatsApp number or email address.
This gives firms enough project context to decide whether the opportunity is relevant without exposing the requester’s personal contact details to every recipient.
 

What double-blind privacy means

The privacy model is double-blind because neither side initially knows the other’s identity:

  • The requester cannot see which firms received or viewed the brief.

  • A receiving firm cannot see who the requester is or how to contact the requester.

  • The firm’s identity remains hidden from the requester until that firm expresses interest.

The approved public language “Zero data sales. Zero spam.” remains accurate. ARCZ does not sell requester data to firms, brands or third parties. The article does not make claims about encryption, retention periods, storage location or data deletion because ARCZ has not approved public wording on those topics.
 

What happens when a firm expresses interest

A firm clicks Interested after reviewing the brief. That action automatically triggers the professional handoff; the requester does not approve or reject the firm before details are exchanged.
The requester receives the interested firm’s ARCZ profile link, which contains the information the firm has chosen to publish. The firm receives the requester’s name, WhatsApp number and email address when one was supplied. The exchange is delivered through WhatsApp.
Multiple firms can express interest in the same brief. After the handoff, all communication moves outside ARCZ. There is no in-platform chat. The parties can then discuss scope, site information, availability, proposal, fees, references and appointment terms directly.
A requester can review submitted briefs in My Account and withdraw a brief after submission. A submitted brief cannot be edited. Before submission, the form can be edited or cancelled, but it cannot be saved as a draft.
 

Is Post a Brief free?

Yes. Post a Brief is free forever for both sides. There is no subscription, credit, lead unlock, response fee or contact-access charge. Firms cannot pay for earlier receipt, greater visibility, priority access or sponsored response placement. ARCZ also takes no commission from the firm’s design or professional fee when an appointment results from a brief.
The eventual professional service is not free. Scope, fees, taxes, consultant costs, reimbursables and appointment terms are agreed directly between the requester and the selected firm.
 

How to write a brief that firms can assess

  1. Use the execution city: Select the city where the project is located, not merely where the requester currently lives.
  2. Choose only the disciplines required: Use the three-category limit for genuine multidisciplinary needs.
  3. Write a neutral, specific title: Identify the project rather than using promotional language.
  4. Add context where it changes the decision: Explain the current condition, intended use, constraints, priorities and expected scope.
  5. Attach evidence that reduces guesswork: Site images, plans or a short PDF can help a firm assess relevance.
  6. Choose the correct project type and stage: A new build, legal-approval requirement, civil shell and renovation need different expertise.
  7. Use honest urgency: Timing should reflect when the project can actually move forward.
  8. Complete WhatsApp verification: A verified contact makes the requirement actionable.

 

What Post a Brief does not guarantee

  • A fixed number of responses: Firms decide independently whether to express interest.

  • Immediate firm availability: A relevant firm may not have capacity for the required programme.

  • A particular fee: Fees depend on scope, responsibility, location, team and complexity.

  • A perfect match: Verification and routing do not replace appointment due diligence.

  • Fast onboarding in an uncovered city: ARCZ may try to onboard firms when no verified firm is available, but it does not guarantee success or timing.

  • A project outcome: ARCZ does not guarantee design quality, approvals, cost, programme, delivery or client satisfaction.

A submitted brief cannot be edited, but it can be withdrawn from the briefs section of My Account. Before submission, the form can be edited or cancelled; it cannot be saved as a draft.
 

Can I post a brief outside India?

Yes. The feature accepts projects globally, although ARCZ’s largest verified-firm pool is currently in India.
