What Is BUILD by ARCZ? From Product Selection to Purchase

SHARE

BUILD by ARCZ is ARCZ’s curated product-selection, specification, customisation, quotation, consultancy, procurement and purchase workflow. It currently brings HYBEC architectural lighting into a project-oriented system rather than an open marketplace of competing sellers. Users can browse lighting categories, configure supported product options, create a cart quotation or a floor- and area-wise project quotation, use paid Lighting Consultation when a project needs layout support, and continue to payment, fulfilment, and checkout through BUILD by ARCZ. Prices displayed on BUILD include GST; any applicable discount is calculated at the final stage.

BUILD by ARCZ at a glance

  • Platform model: A curated specification-to-purchase workflow, not a generic marketplace.

  • Current category partner: HYBEC for architectural lighting. ARCZ does not own or manufacture HYBEC.

  • Main navigation: BUILD, Lighting Consultant and Categories.

  • Product action: Configure supported options, then add the product to a cart or project quotation.

  • Project quotation: Log in by phone number and OTP, create floors and areas, and assign each configured product to its intended location.

  • Pricing: Displayed product prices include GST; the applicable discount is calculated at the final stage.

  • Lighting Consultation: Open to anyone at ₹5,000. When the resulting product order is placed through BUILD, that fee is deducted from the final bill.

  • Payment: Full payment or an agreed 50% advance, with the balance due before dispatch.

  • Post-order support: Account and WhatsApp updates, direct human assistance, installation guidance and warranty-claim support.

Why BUILD is not a generic marketplace

A generic marketplace is organised around many sellers, interchangeable listings, price comparison and seller visibility. BUILD by ARCZ is organised around a project decision. ARCZ uses one vetted brand partner per product category, then builds a workflow around product discovery, model-specific options, quotation, technical support and purchase.
The current architectural-lighting partner is HYBEC. The commercial relationship sits inside BUILD; it does not purchase ranking, paid placement or visibility for a professional firm in ARCZ’s Projects feed or Circle. BUILD is also separate from an architect’s or designer’s professional fee.

The three main pathways on BUILD

1. BUILD landing page

The landing page explains what BUILD does, introduces the current HYBEC product pathway and sets out how product selection, consultation and purchase connect. It is the right starting point for a first-time visitor who needs to understand the system before opening a category or product.

2. Lighting Consultant

The current service is called Lighting Consultation because BUILD presently works with HYBEC for lighting. It is not presented as a universal consultancy service for every future product category. The page explains the consultation service and helps a user engage a lighting consultant for a real project.

3. Categories

The Categories pathway contains the current HYBEC product range. Users can explore products, open an individual product, choose the supported options, set the required quantity and then add the configured selection to a cart or quotation.

What users can discover and customise

The live HYBEC range covers indoor and outdoor architectural-lighting families, including recessed and surface luminaires, COB downlights, wallwashers, track and magnetic systems, profiles, strips, floor-recessed products, bollards, gate and wall lights, underwater products, floods, streetlights, drivers and related accessories. Catalogue breadth should not be read as a promise that every item or configuration is always in stock.
Available configuration depends on the exact model. Supported choices can include CCT, wattage, beam angle, body or reflector colour, driver or control type, mounting method, track form and system accessories. Some products are straightforward standalone fittings; others are only complete when their drivers, tracks, connectors, covers, suspension parts or control components are also included.

Two ways to build a quotation

Use the cart as the quotation

For a straightforward requirement, a user can customise products and add them to the cart. The cart acts as the consolidated quotation and order summary: it gathers the selected models, options and quantities in one place before the user proceeds towards checkout.

Create a floor-and-area-wise project quotation

For a larger project, BUILD provides a more structured quotation route. The user first logs in using a phone number and OTP. They can then create as many floors and areas as the project needs, customise a product, and assign that product to the exact floor and area where it is intended to be used.
This matters because a real project rarely needs one undifferentiated list. A residence may require separate selections for the entrance, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, landscape and facade. An office may need different systems for workstations, meeting rooms, circulation, reception and breakout areas. The area-wise quotation keeps the product decision connected to the place where it will be installed.
An architect, client or project team can prepare this quotation independently. When assistance is needed, the BUILD team can also guide the user by WhatsApp or phone and help complete the requirement.

What Lighting Consultation adds

Lighting Consultation is available to anyone using the platform. The current service fee is ₹5,000. The consultant prepares the lighting quotation and the presentation drawings required for the project’s individual areas. If the user subsequently places the resulting product order through BUILD, the ₹5,000 consultation fee is deducted from the final bill.
The service is most useful when the decision depends on more than choosing a fitting. Room proportions, ceiling conditions, fixture placement, beam behaviour, glare, control requirements and area-to-area consistency can all change the result. A consultant can convert those conditions into a coordinated product and quotation package.
Lighting Consultation does not replace the appointed architect, interior designer, MEP consultant, electrical professional or contractor. Site dimensions, electrical loading, wiring, statutory requirements, execution and final installation remain project-specific responsibilities.

How pricing and discounts work

Product prices displayed on BUILD include GST. Any applicable discount is calculated at the final stage rather than being treated as the first and only number beside the product.
The relevant project cost is the cost of the complete configured requirement. A track system may combine track lengths, several luminaires, connectors, current-feed parts, drivers, suspension accessories and covers. A colour-changing or controlled product may need a different driver or control path. Special finishes, custom profiles, low quantities, packaging or location-specific support can also affect the final commercial result.

  • Check the product: Confirm the exact model, wattage, CCT, beam, finish and control option.

  • Check the system: Include every required driver, connector, track, cover, suspension component and accessory.

  • Check the quantity and location: Project quantities and delivery location can change the commercial scope.

  • Check the final stage: Review the GST-inclusive total, applicable discount and any project-specific charge before ordering.

  • Use a current quotation: Product price, stock and availability can change; rely on the current platform and the final dated commercial record.

Checkout and payment

Once the user is satisfied with the cart or project quotation, the requirement can move towards checkout and payment. BUILD supports two broad payment structures, depending on the order and the commercial arrangement.

  • Full payment: The order may be paid in full using available online or offline methods.

  • 50% advance: For eligible orders, the user may pay 50% in advance so that the material can be prepared. The remaining 50% must be paid after the material is ready and before dispatch.

Available payment routes can include card payment and bank-transfer methods such as NEFT. Offline coordination may also permit cheque or cash, depending on the order size and the terms agreed with the team. Material is not dispatched until the full order value has been received.

What happens after the order is placed

After payment or the agreed advance is recorded, the user receives the expected preparation timeline and material status through the account and WhatsApp. The update identifies what is being prepared and when the material is expected to be ready.
When the complete shipment is ready, any outstanding balance is collected. If the order has already been paid in full, dispatch can proceed immediately. Order tracking and progress questions are handled through WhatsApp and direct one-to-one assistance from the team rather than leaving the buyer with an unsupported status page.

Delivery, installation and on-site support

Installation is generally arranged by the client or the client’s contractor. BUILD provides direct installation guidance so the site team can contact the support team when a connection, assembly or product-use question arises.
On-site assistance can also be arranged when required. Any location-dependent travel or support charge is confirmed according to the site and scope; straightforward support may be provided without an additional charge, but that should not be assumed for every project or city.

Warranty and after-sales assistance

A warranty claim can be raised through the platform or by contacting the team directly. The claim is then handled one-to-one by a person responsible for guiding the customer through the required information, product check and resolution.
The latest confirmed framework is two years for Eco-Brite LED products and three years for Pro-series products. Approved claims are commonly resolved through piece-to-piece replacement, although the exact remedy remains subject to the product, claim condition and applicable warranty terms. The current product record or quotation should always be checked before purchase.

Cancellation, returns and product issues

Orders are generally not cancellable once placed because material may be reserved, configured or prepared against the confirmed requirement. Users should therefore review the product, configuration, quantity, finish, delivery location and payment terms before completing the order.
Returns are not treated as an open convenience-return policy. When a product has a genuine condition or performance issue, the team reviews the case and may arrange the appropriate return, replacement or warranty response. The route depends on the facts of the order and the product issue.

The complete BUILD workflow

  1. Open BUILD: Start at the BUILD landing page and understand the HYBEC and Lighting Consultation pathways.
  2. Choose a category: Enter Categories and find the relevant architectural-lighting family.
  3. Open and configure the product: Select only the model-supported options and quantity.
  4. Choose the quotation route: Add the selection to the cart, or log in by phone OTP to create a floor- and area-wise quotation.
  5. Use Lighting Consultation when needed: Engage the ₹5,000 service for area-wise presentation drawings and a coordinated lighting quotation; the fee is deducted from the final bill when the resulting order is placed through BUILD.
  6. Review the GST-inclusive commercial total: Check the complete system, applicable discount and any location- or project-specific charge.
  7. Proceed to checkout: Pay in full or use an agreed 50% advance arrangement.
  8. Prepare and complete payment: The material is prepared; any balance is paid before dispatch.
  9. Track fulfilment: Follow the timeline through the account, WhatsApp and direct team assistance.
  10. Install and use after-sales support: Arrange site installation, use remote or on-site guidance where needed, and raise warranty claims through the platform or team.

Where BUILD works well: and where another route is needed

BUILD works well when

  • the user wants a curated product pathway rather than an unrestricted vendor search;

  • a product needs model-specific customisation before it can be ordered;

  • a project needs a floor-and-area-wise product quotation;

  • a track, profile or controlled-lighting system needs coordinated components;

  • the user wants one workflow connecting product selection, consultancy, quotation, payment and fulfilment.

Another professional step is still needed when

  • site dimensions, electrical loads or wiring have not been established;

  • the project requires independent comparison across several lighting brands;

  • statutory, emergency-lighting, fire, structural or life-safety decisions require qualified review;

  • the user needs to appoint an architect, interior designer, MEP consultant or electrical professional rather than buy products;

  • the user needs a guaranteed stock, dispatch or site-support commitment that is not stated in the final written order record.

What BUILD by ARCZ is not

  • Not a generic marketplace: It does not organise unlimited sellers around competing listings.

  • Not paid professional visibility: Buying through BUILD does not improve a firm’s ranking or visibility in ARCZ discovery.

  • Not a commission on professional fees: BUILD is a product and transaction layer, not a cut of an architect’s or designer’s fee.

  • Not a universal stock promise: Product, finish, configuration and availability can change.

  • Not a substitute for project professionals: Product selection and lighting consultation do not replace architecture, engineering, electrical design or site execution responsibility.
